Welcome to the GOAL-Aidlink St. Patrick's Day Badge Campaign
We're selling badges, at 2 each, to raise money for the Third World.
Wear the ,celebrate the St Patrick's festival and lessen the load carried by people in the Third World.
The campaign was first started in 1989 as an educational project in Blackrock College, and has grown steadily ever since. Last year the net income was 150,000, split as usual between our implementing organisations - Goal and Aidlink. While Blackrock College students continue at the forefront of the Campaign, students from other schools - in particular Scoil Mhuire in Cork and Rockwell College in Tipperary - have given a great boost to the Campaign in recent years. For 2002 we welcome Colaiste Iosagain, Stillorgan, and a number of schools in Galway, and look forward to their continuing involvement.
Badges are primarily sold through schools all around Ireland, and the 5000-strong network of Irish newsagents supplied by Independent Newspapers plc. If you would you be willing to sell a box of in your workplace, or help us in any other way, we'd love to hear from you at
aidlink@hotmail.com or phone Zèlie McGrath at Aidlink 01-4966956.
Go on, help us to have more people sporting our this St Patrick's holiday and to make a difference.
Thank you and happy St. Patrick's Day!
